Would you keep your divorce records sealed in order to protect your children?

Particularly if it was an ugly divorce and you or your ex were a public figure?

Or do you think the children should know all the ugly details and accusations?

If you’re running for election, does the public have the right to know the dirty details of your divorce even if it could hurt/embarrass the children?

A divorce is between two spouses not anyone else. If both former spouses will be responsible parents it should not hurt the kids. Dad & Mom will simply live apart but drop off and p/u from school, attendance at school events. The public has no right to see what details of your divorce are. You have no responsibility to them personally or legally.

I don’t see how any of it is anybody’s business, other than the date of divorce and custody terms.
