I want to see divorce records, probably from Detroit, time range 1905-1935, for genealogical research. However, the only way I have found of doing this is having them extracted in Lansing for $50 each- not in my budget! Any ideas? Thanks!
Added later- Thanks for the Raogk idea! The only problem is, you have to pay the expenses of those volunteers (for good reason) and they would still require the $50 fee. What I am wondering is, is there another place to get these records?
You can post the names here and someone can look them up. Do you need the actual copies?
Try going to RAOGK.com and see if there is a volunteer from that area who can look them up for you.
Has anyone found a way of getting Michigan divorce records for less than $50?
